Scope

This statewide multi-county exercise is designed to evaluate the performance of Florida amateur and SHARES radio networks during a simulated communications and power systems emergency. Pinellas County ACS will activate the EOC radio room, deploy multiple command-runners to locations on the Public Safety Complex, and activate Simulated Evacuation shelters. Player Requirements

This exercise is open to members of PinCo ACS, PinCo Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), and organizations that support emergency communications in adjacent counties. All players must have a valid Federal Communications Commission (FCC) amateur radio license.

Observers

Observers visit or view selected segments of the exercise. Observers do not play in the exercise. A limited number of individuals can register to be observers during the exercise. A valid FCC license is not required to register as an observer.

Registration Requests

To register for this exercise, please complete the form shown below and press the submit button. You should receive an email that acknowledges receipt of your request for registration within 24 hours.

Registration will open on March 20th and close on April 2nd. Requests for registration after April 2nd, should be submitted by email to WA1RYQ@ARRL.net.

The number of seats available for this exercise is limited to fifteen. If more that fifteen registration requests are received, priority will be given to those PinCo ACS members who can activate and deploy during tropical storm or hurricane, and individuals who have completed AUXCOMM training.
